Saturday September 5th 2015. Surf was very good today in Santa Teresa. Waves were slightly overhead, with some sporadic bigger sets at exposed breaks. New SW swell keeps filling in and waves got bigger during the day. The beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary was very good in the morning, when some clean open waves rolled in. Suck Rock was a bit lully and there was quite a lot of waiting between sets. Nevertheless, when it came it was worth the waiting. Some waves walled up and rolled down for over 300mts!

Thursday September 3rd 2015. Very good surf in Costa Rica today. Really fun waves at the beach break upfront our boutique hotel and at Suck Rock. New S swell reinforcing the existing SW swell and waves were on the head to slightly overhead high range. Another SW swell will start to move in tomorrow with more energy and much larger period. Swells arriving back to back this month maybe due to EL Nino weather phenomena. Conditions were predominantly clean almost all day and waves were open and sometimes even barreling over the sand bar.

Wednesday September 2nd 2015. Surf was very good today in Playa Santa Teresa. Waves were on the shoulder to head high range with a few bigger sets. Shorter periods of the SW swell arrived and waves were more consistent in the morning at Suck Rock, the point break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary hotel. Clean conditions all day until mid afternoon when it started to get stormy.

Tuesday September 1st 2015. Very good surf in Costa Rica today. SW swell peaked but waves were not much bigger than yesterday. Surf was on the shoulder to head high range with occasional bigger sets. Clean conditions made the morning session a very fun one, with long, steep and playful waves rolling in at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. There were some solid rights staking up over the point break. It was lully and good sets were far apart, but when they came in it was worth the wait. The lower periods arriving tomorrow should make it more consistent.

Monday August 31st 2015. Very good surfing day at Santa Teresa beach. The old SW swell keeps fading out but a new one started to fill in. The waves were on the chest to shoulder high range with some bigger sets late in the afternoon. Clean and glassy conditions in the morning and there were very good waves coming in at the beach break upfront our Santa Teresa Costa Rica hotel. The afternoon surf was also fun and waves were mushier due to high tide.

Saturday August 29th 2015. Very good surf in Playa Santa Teresa and nearby breaks today. Waves were on the slightly overhead to overhead and a half size with quite a lot of power. Lot more people in the lineup as the word spread, yet Suck Rock, the point break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary was very good and there were some very fun solid grinders rolling in. Swell is slowly easing and perhaps we’ll see a significant drop in the size tomorrow. Nevertheless, the direction of this swell is very good for most of the breaks in the area and we should get a few more really good sessions before it is gone.

Friday August 28th 2015. This morning surf was epic in Santa Teresa. Perfectly glassy conditions with light offshore breeze. The new SW swell filled in and waves got slightly overhead to overhead and a half at exposed breaks. Excellent and very long rides at Suck Rock! The beach break was also very fun and almost all breaks in the area were pumping! Corduroy all the way to the horizon, beautiful weather, sea turtles swimming in the surf and wales at the back.

Monday August 24th 2015. Surf in Costa Rica was good and fun today. S swell continues fading out and waves were on the waist to chest high range. Conditions were clean in the morning when tide was high and waves were opening. Some good fun waves were rolling in at the beach break upfront our surf school and hotel. Amazingly strange weather in the afternoon, with a storm moving out seas. Waves were still clean, but not too far from shore, a tornado was generated by the moving storm that didn’t last long enough to go get the camera…

Saturday August 22nd 2015. Fair surf in Santa Teresa today. Old S swell easing yet S current continues strong. Waves were on the waist to chest high and conditions mostly choppy and messy due to local weather. Morning was better and there were a few good waves rolling in at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary hotel.

Friday August 21st 2015. Surf was good in Santa Teresa Costa Rica. Waves were on the shoulder to head high range as SSW swell tops out. Conditions were clean in the morning and despite the current due to the swell direction, the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary Hotel was fun. There were some good open waves rolling in.

Thursday August 20th 2015. Surf was good in Santa Teresa beach today. Waves were on the waist to chest high range, with some bigger sets in the afternoon as new SSW swell starts to fill in. Nice and clean conditions at the beach break upfront our Costa Rica surf hotel. Waves were mushy with the high tide, yet very long and fun.

Wednesday August 19th 2015. Fair surf in Costa Rica today. Waves were on the waist to chest high range as old swell is easing fast. However there was some current from the South. Conditions were not very clean, but some good waves still rolled in at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. The sand bars are slowly starting to fill up again and beach is getting back it’s normal conditions.

Monday August 17th. Surf was very good in Santa Teresa today. SSW swell is filling in and waves reached slightly overhead height in the afternoon. Conditions were clean and glassy in the afternoon and some really good waves rolled in. The right was hollower but short and the left was more open and longer. S current increasing as new swell brings in more energy.

Thursday August 13th 2015. Surf was good in Santa Teresa and nearby breaks. Still plenty of energy on the water left by the old fading S swell and the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary again had a lot of S current. However there were quite a few good rides and some bomb sets coming in sporadically. Waves were on the head to slightly overhead high range and conditions fairly clean.

Wednesday August 12th 2015. Epic surf at the south facing breaks near Santa Teresa today! S swell built in further and the beach break down from Blue Surf Sanctuary hotel was very strong with too much water moving around. However, the south facing point breaks near our surf camp were perfect. Waves there were smaller, yet in the head to overhead high range with bigger sets. Long pealing waves one after the other for almost all day! Some more exposed but less accessible breaks seen waves well double overhead.
