Friday February 28th 2014. Surf was fair today in Santa Teresa surf camp wrapped up. Conditions were a bit choppy and messy. Early morning was very shallow and waves were closing out. It was fun in the late morning at the peak upfront Blue surf Sanctuary for a short window, until onshore wind started blowing harder and surf got spoiled. Weird weather, almost as it was going to rain at one moment, skies got fully overcast in the early afternoon. Afternoon session was poor. Surf was just not happening. New swell will slowly start building in tomorrow and we expect it will get very fun by Sunday.
Thursday February 27th 2014. Surf was fair this morning at Santa Teresa beach. Waves getting smaller as the old swell fades out were in the knee to waist high range. Conditions were clean and glassy and there were some very fun rides at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. afternoon session wasn’t very good, tide went out too fast and conditions were not very clean. Most waves were just closing out in the shore break. Swell keeps fading tomorrow, but a new mid-period SSW fills in on the weekend!
Tuesday February 25th 2014. Good surf today in Santa Teresa beach. Morning session was a lot better. Conditions were clean and glassy and there were some very fun waves rolling in at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. Tide was coming up, and a light offshore wind kept the waves nicely shaped and open. Bigger sets were reaching shoulder high size, but most was around waist high. Afternoon was a bit choppy, and the dead low didn’t helped much. still a few good ones rolled in at sunset time.
Monday February 24th 2014. Surf was good today as our Santa Teresa surf camp kicked off. Swell is fading away fast and waves were in the knee to waist high today. Conditions were nice and clean, and there were some very fun rides during the high tide at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. Afternoon session was very fun too and some good open waves rolled in at Playa Hermosa, a beautiful beach 5 min away from our Surf Camp.
