Santa Teresa Surf Camp
This is Toro from Blue Surf Adventures Costa Rica Surf School with your Santa Teresa Surf Report for this week. This is the surf report for Santa Teresa and nearby breaks Playa Hermosa, Playa Carmen and Mal Pais, located in the South Nicoya Peninsula in the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
This past week, June 6th / June 13th, surf was inconsistent and mellow in Santa Teresa Surf Camp. Some fun waves came in and surf was mostly mellow and user friendly. There were lots of days were a longboard was the best choice of board, however there were still mostly shortboarders out. Weather was rainy on and off, what kept the conditions going from good to messy very easily. Bigger sets started coming in at the end of the week as new SW swell fills in.
Monday: Old fading SW swell and surf was on the knee to waist high range. Rainy weather prevailed with occasional strong sunshine in the late morning. Messy conditions and fair surf at the beach break
Tuesday: Overlapping, modest SW swells with mostly knee-waist high waves at most breaks, while the standout went chest high on sets during favorable tide. Conditions were good for a while during the morning but messy and unorganized for the most of the day. Still there were some fun waves at the beach brake upfront our Santa Teresa Surf Camp
Wednesday:Modest SW swell continue with similar size surf in the knee-waist-stomach high range, as sets get up to chest high. Fun surf in the morning at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary Santa Teresa Surf Camp
Thursday: Small swell continues and waves are still in the waist high with occasional bigger sets. Surf is fun from time to time when the conditions clean up. It got messy when the wind blew in.
Friday: Fun surf in the afternoon at the beach break near Blue Surf Sanctuary Santa Teresa Surf Camp. Waves were in the waist to chest high range and quite mellow. Very fun to ride a more buoyant board or a longboard. Some very fun rides rolled in at our beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary Santa Teresa Surf Camp.
Saturday: Fun sized mellow swell continues and waves are still on the waist to chest high range. Again very fun waves at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary Santa Teresa Surf Camp. Conditions were good on and off. Sometimes a bit messy and sometimes it cleaned up.
Sunday: New swell slowly started moving in with bigger sets in the afternoon. Waves reach head high and slightly overhead by the end of the day. Long period swell and there were long waits but always worthy. Very fun waves at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary Santa Teresa Surf Camp.
