Wednesday July 15th 2015. Surf was fun today in Santa Teresa. Conditions were clean in the morning and there were some fun waves at the beach break upfront our Costa Rice Surf Camp, Blue Surf Sanctuary. Waves are much smaller today as the old swell continues to fade, and were no bigger than chest high–probably the smallest they have been in a couple of weeks. A great opportunity for beginners to venture out to the lineup and catch the green waves that were mushy with the high tide!
Tuesday July 14th 2015. Surf was good today in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. The old swell was quickly fading away and waves were on the chest to shoulder high range in the morning, and on the waist to chest high range in the afternoon. Morning conditions were the best; clean with glassy water until the afternoon when it got a bit messy out. The beach break at Playa Santa Teresa was very fun between 7 am and 10 am with long and playful waves.
Saturday July 11th 2015. Very good surf today at our Costa Rica Surf Camp! Excellent conditions in the morning with some very clean, hollow waves. The breaks further South near la Lora were hollower with some nice tube rides. Waves were on the head high range with very sporadic bigger sets since this swell has been very lully. Some long and very fun rights at the point upfront our Surf Camp’s beach access.
Thursday July 9th 2015. Santa Teresa held good surf today. There were some long, open waves at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary and conditions were nice and clean in the morning with waves on the shoulder to head high range, with a few bigger sets.
Wednesday July 8th 2015. Excellent surf today at our Costa Rice Surf Camp. The beach break at our beach access was really good with some nice open waves. Suck Rock was mushier than the beach break, but a consistent right was rolling over the point. Waves were head to slightly overhead high with nice and clean conditions.
Tuesday July 7th 2015. Surf was good in Santa Teresa and nearby breaks. Forerunners of the new long period SW swell started to show up, reaching head high on the biggest sets. Some good and long waves rolled in at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary, our boutique hotel. Suck Rock wasn’t working, but started to look like it might tomorrow or the day after. There is a strong storm moving in tonight and we are hoping it will not spoil the surf in the morning.
Monday July 6th 2015. Surf was very good today at our Costa Rica Surf Camp in Santa Teresa. Waves were on the chest to shoulder high range with very clean conditions. The waves at the beach break were very long and open with an old SSW swell fading and a new SW swell building. The lineup got a bit shifty from time to time but some very good waves rolled in none the less!
Friday June 26th 2015. There was fairly good surf today at Santa Teresa beach and nearby breaks. Clean conditions at the beach break upfront our Costa Rica Surf Camp in the morning. Waves were on the chest to shoulder high range. A new SW swell is predicted for the weekend but has not shown up yet, although we are likely to see it early tomorrow morning.
Thursday June 25th 2015. Fairly good surfing in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica today. Waves were on the waist to chest high range with a few bigger sets. An old swell slowly fades but still pushes some energy in. The beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary Hotel and Surf School was fun in the morning with some good open waves rolling over the sand bar. Conditions were clean and waves were very playful!
Wednesday June 24th 2015. Surf was good in Santa Teresa today. Waves are getting smaller as the old swell fades and waves were on the chest to shoulder high range throughout the day with clean conditions in the morning. There were some fun waves at the beach break upfront our surf camp.
Monday June 22nd 2015. Excellent surf at our Costa Rica Surf Camp today! The beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary was pumping and a new swell is now filling in. Waves reached well overhead in the afternoon and the morning conditions were very clean with waves were coming in one after the other barreling over the sand bar–epic session! The afternoon was perhaps choppier, yet some playful bombs were rolling open from far out all the way in.
Wednesday June 17th 2015. Good surf in Santa Teresa today. A new S swell moved in and waves were getting bigger throughout the day. Some sets were reaching overhead in the afternoon, and the south energy was clear with lots of current towards Suck Rock, yet we had some very long and nicely shaped lefts down at the beach break from Blue Surf Sanctuary.
