Monday February 17th 2014. The Costa Rica surf was fair today around Santa Teresa. New SSW fills in very slowly and waves were bigger in the afternoon, reaching the chest to shoulder high range. Morning conditions were nice and clear, but tide went out fast at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary and the waves were closing out. Still there were some very fun rides. All day was very windy, and the water took too long to calm in the afternoon. It was choppy almost till sunset time.

Surf is supposed to pick up tomorrow with the arrival of a new SSW swell.
